A common problem with Swarovski Crystal is the adhesive fails.  Over the years I have repair many pieces that have just fallen apart. The new adhesives  are very strong. It is important to clean off all the old adhesive .

Glass Figurine repair

This Venetian glass figurine has a broken jacket.  It was sent to me from St Louis .  I can repair it using an adhesive.  This type of glass can not be fused back together the reheating will make the glass change colors.

Antique Glass Bottle Repair

Sent from California for repair this glass bottle came out  very nice. The pieces fit together and the glass repair was a success . In the family for many years the owner remembers his mom using this bottle to water laundry before ironing.

LaLique crystal repair broken glass ring

This beautiful LaLique  crystal ring got broken.  The hard part of this repair was the fact they didn’t have any of the missing pieces. So I had to create the glass piece to fit what was left.

Glass repair Faberge Egg broken glass base

A beautiful red glass ” FABERGE EGG” with a broken base was sent to me for repair.  This piece was made in Russia St. Petersburg as stated on the label. The copper wheel engraving of the double eagle is the main design with a very delicate boarder on the base .

I use a matching red glass to fabricate a new base .  The engraved boarder matched the design of the Faberge Egg.  Glass restoration like this is fun. A little creative thinking and for thought the glass egg will go back on display.

Its a small little chip on the bottom of the stopper. Steuben makes the finest crystal in the world but they made colored glass many years ago. This is one of the old “ colored glass”  Steuben pieces. They are very valuable so a small chip is well worth repairing. The repair is simple just grind the stopper down . The important part is to match the same grit size so the frosting on the glass is the right . I have been a crystal repair man for thirty years and I love glass. I get crystal sent to me from around the world and I very lucky to be able to repair so many nice pieces of glass.

The glass cat  figurine had a broken ear. I removed the good ear and made two new ears.   No one will know the ears match and her husband can get out of the dog house.  Friends Romans lend me an ear.

Being able to make ears ,noses ,trunks, tails,and other parts gives me alot of options when restoring glass figurines. Under categories there is a heading call zoo it holds before and after picture of crystal animals I have repaired.

Crystal Repair Broken Swarovski

Swarovski Crystal Elephant broken and missing tusk

The crystal elephant came  in broken and missing a tusk. Reattaching the tusk was the first step.  Them I made a new glass  part  for the Swarovski Elephant using the old glass tusk as a guide. Etching the new glass part to match the old was the final step in the glass restoration.

antique cut glass compote repair

Very old cut crystal compote came in with a large chip on the foot or base. I cut off the base and made it thinner.  With  a diamond saw I cut off the chipped part. Then  I ground it smooth and polished it.
