BROKEN GLASS PAINTED LAMP REPAIR

A very old lamp that has been in the family for  many years was broken in a move.  The painted glass and metal base  were both damaged.

Antique glass globe repair with missing pieces

The” gone with the wind oil lamp” has been in the family for many years .  Some one broke it and lost some of the pieces. This make the restoration of the glass globe very difficult.  First we reassembled the the pieces we had leaving a large hole that needed to be filled.   Casting  a mold off of the antique globe we were able to make a new curved white opal glass to fill the hole.

Crystal Repair cut glass lamp repair

This lead glass lamp sat on the night stand for decades before it was accidentally broken into pieces. The cut glass pattern on this crystal lamp help hide the glass restoration. There were some minor pieces missing, but we were able to discretely fill those areas. Crystal repair has greatly improved with the new generation of ultra violet cured adhesives that don’t yellow, and are to provide a permanent fix.

Pairpoint Lamp Repair & Restoration Services

In this post, we share an update on a broken Pairpoint puffy lamp. You can see that there was a large pizza-sized chunk taken out of the top. Additionally, you can see a large crack running through the lampshade below the missing area.
