Broken Crystal Vase

Joe emailed he had a Waterford Crystal vase that was a wedding present to his parents and the foot was broken and missing pieces.  Can I fix it ?  Yes  send it . He sent the vase from Resto Va.

The vase came in safe and sound. Joe followed the shipping instructions. My job make it new again.  I removed the old broken foot and found a replacement foot. A simple foot transplant and all you need are flowers.

Glass Bowl large chip

This Waterford Crystal bowl has a very large chip in it .  Repairing this chipped glass bowl will take some time. I will use a diamond saw to cut it down. Then I will polish the top.

Antique Glass Repair broken dish

I was sent an antique pressed glass butter dish that was missing a corner. The note with the broken glass dish read “Please do something.” I was able to do more than “something,” the dish is now completely restored. Here’s what I did, I made a casting of one of the thee remaining corners and created a mold. I then cast glass in to the mold, and came up this a rough glass corner. The grinding and polishing came next, and then I glued the piece in place. One final grind and polish, and now the dish can be used to hold butter, and a lot of memories.

Consolidated Glass Bowl Repair

This green Consolidated Glass bowl came to me with eight chips on inside edge of the rim. A simple repair, I thought, but the easy ones are often harder than you think. This inside chip was tricky to smooth without hitting the inside of the bowl. Polishing required dressing that shade in a wheel, and then redressing the wheel. Finally, the bowl is restored back to it’s original beauty.

Crystal Repair Heisey Glass

One broken Heisey Crystal candle stick needs repair, and it’s mate needs to be altered to match. This candle stick was badly broken below the candle cup and some pieces are still missing.  Once the first candle stick is repaired I can shorten the other piece to make them a match set once again. Antique crystal such as Heisey is often signed. This piece with a small H inside a diamond.

The chip was to large to grind and polish so I removed the foot at the base of the stem. With the foot off of another Waterford Glass I transplanted the foot .  Open a  so so bottle of wine and lets test the glass. You don’t need  open a good bottle wine because  the beautifull  glass makes every thing taste better.

Perfume Bottle Repair

Perfume With Broken Neck

This antique glass perfume bottle had a broken neck .  I cut off the old broken glass neck and polished the bottle . Then I make a new glass neck for the perfume bottle. The antique crystal perfume bottle was as good as new. I make new stoppers and daubers for antique glass perfume bottles but making a neck is a little different.  If they had sent it to me in the first place they would not have broken the neck trying to get the stopper out. It takes patients when removing a stuck stopper.

The boboche was broken and a few pieces were missing so we glued the pieces back together and  bent a piece of glass to fill the hole left by the missing pieces.

Antique Water Glass Repair Crystal

WATER GLASS BROKEN BOTTOM

This antique water glass has a broken bottom and just the bottom none of the sides of the glass was damaged. I was able to cut / grind off the botton and using a thin glass cut a diameter and made a new botttom.  Crystal water glass repair or antique rock glass  not shure what to call it but its ready to be used again.

Antique glass with a broken bottom not a typical repair.  A replace ment glass is not an option . Please can you fix it ?   I can fix it  just put on a new bottom.  Glassware repair you think of chips on the rim or foot  not a new bottom of a water glass.

Pairpoint Lamp Repair & Restoration Services
