Changing the light bulb was traumatic for the antique glass shade.   It fell and the majority of the panels were broken.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most of the top pieces were broken and some of the bottom pieces.   The top pieces were the most difficult to fit.

Antique Gauge Barometer Beveled Glass Lens Repair and Restoration

The beveled glass lens in the antique barometer was cracked.  The tolerances are very tight fitting the glass in the brass bezel. The glass is friction fit. It is not glued in. Here is the before state:

Crystal Repair Chipped and Broken Lamp

The crystal lamp was broken and the base has a large  chip .  The solution was to reshape the base .

During a major home restoration, the antique chandelier hanging in the foyer was damaged .  Two of the cut glass globes were broken. The first step is to make the glass blanks .  Then comes the cutting of the design .  The hard part is  matching the profile of each cutting stone .

Custom Beveled Glass for Antique Barometer – Antique Clock & Gauges

They sent the brass bezel from an vintage barometer for a replacement bevel glass.   The tolerances are very tight.
