Crystal punch bowls are very easy to break.  The most common way is when  the party is over you pour out the left over punch and put hot water in the bowl to wash it out.  Old thick brilliant cut glass can not take temperature change.  The thicker the glass the more vulnerable to cracking from heat.  This beautiful cut glass punch bowl fell victim to hot water in the sink.

I can repair this bowl and it will be usable .  The cut pattern hides the repair and makes it very hard to detect .

After the repair the restoration is hard to find.

A common problem with Swarovski Crystal is the adhesive fails.  Over the years I have repair many pieces that have just fallen apart. The new adhesives  are very strong. It is important to clean off all the old adhesive .

Glass Figurine repair

This Venetian glass figurine has a broken jacket.  It was sent to me from St Louis .  I can repair it using an adhesive.  This type of glass can not be fused back together the reheating will make the glass change colors.

Its a glass with a history and it had to be restored.  I found a glass with the same shape and transferred the top to the metal stem.  I don’t know the history but she was very happy it was back in use.

LaLique Crystal broken Base

This  LaLique Crystal piece was sent to me from Florida for restoration.  The crystal base had a large chip broken off the corner.  The piece that broke off had been lost many years ago so bonding the chip back one was not an option.

By removing the entire base and making a replacement I was able to restore this glass .

Sent to me from New York, the crystal clown needed to be reassembled .   The glass figurine needed a lot of work.  It was a present with a lot of sentimental value.   It is very important to clean off the old adhesive.

Antique Glass Bottle Repair

Sent from California for repair this glass bottle came out  very nice. The pieces fit together and the glass repair was a success . In the family for many years the owner remembers his mom using this bottle to water laundry before ironing.

LaLique crystal repair broken glass ring

This beautiful LaLique  crystal ring got broken.  The hard part of this repair was the fact they didn’t have any of the missing pieces. So I had to create the glass piece to fit what was left.

CRYSTAL REPAIR SWAROVSKI UNICORN BROKEN HORN

I have repaired at least fifty Swarovski Crystal unicorns over the years.  It  is very common to break the horn off.  This time the crystal horn broke off and the pieces were lost. I have  make a lot of horns ram , bull, dragon,but this was my first unicorn horn. I did not get it on the first try as seen in the picture.

After making the new horn I etched the glass .  Then I attached it to the head of the Unicorn.
