Crystal Repair Orrefos Candlestick

If you forget to put out the candle it will burn down and crack the candle cup. Repairing crystal candlesticks is a challenge.  The easy way is to make a new candle cup if all I could do is grind the old one down there wouldn’t be much glass left to hold the candle . Crystal repair on candlesticks can be avoided by drill a small hole up through the bottom of the candle removing the wick.  The candle will go out before it can crack the candle cup.

A customer brought in this damaged crystal candle holder. I quickly evaluated it and knew we could repair it. You can see the before and after below. I was able to make a new candle cup and attach it .                   This is a Orrafors Crysal Candlestick

    Being able to blow glass and replicate the broken candle cup saved this pc.
