The windows have been broken for years . You can’t go to the corner hardware store to get replacement glass for your century home. Old glass is not sand blasted. It was frosted by hand using an abrasive and rubbing it on the glass
The Victorian home was being restored and two of the window by the front door were broken . I used old glass that has a wavy surface , some pits and small bubbles. The glass lath I used to cut the design is older than the windows.
The replacement globe was very large and had a cut glass design. We used the old broken glass globe to make a mold used in bending the glass replacement.
The replacement convex glass was frosted and the cut glass design was drawn on it.
The design is cut in the glass using stones and hand polished.
The crystal pitcher has a very large chip on the rim. It will have to be reshaped .
Monograms , Dates and Names can be removed from glass. This Steuben Crystal vase was sent to have a large engraving removed.
This piece was sent to me and it is from a small table lamp. I am going to make a replacement part rather than repair it.
The antique glass tray was broken and repairing the pieces was not an option. I used the old glass for a pattern . Then using a variety stones , grinding wheels and diamond wheels I recreated a new engraved glass tray.
The replacement etched glass tray may not be a perfect match but it is close enough to hold the memories.
A beautiful red glass ” FABERGE EGG” with a broken base was sent to me for repair. This piece was made in Russia St. Petersburg as stated on the label. The copper wheel engraving of the double eagle is the main design with a very delicate boarder on the base .
Pieces had broken off the base and were lost.
I use a matching red glass to fabricate a new base . The engraved boarder matched the design of the Faberge Egg. Glass restoration like this is fun. A little creative thinking and for thought the glass egg will go back on display.

This is the first time I have worked on a LaLique Crystal Bottle like this. Over thirty years of repair I have worked on a lot of LaLique Crystal. There were chips around the stopper holes so I polished then out then etched then to match .
