LaLique Crystal broken Base

This  LaLique Crystal piece was sent to me from Florida for restoration.  The crystal base had a large chip broken off the corner.  The piece that broke off had been lost many years ago so bonding the chip back one was not an option.

By removing the entire base and making a replacement I was able to restore this glass .

This beautiful LaLique  crystal ring got broken.  The hard part of this repair was the fact they didn’t have any of the missing pieces. So I had to create the glass piece to fit what was left.

This is the first time I have worked on a LaLique Crystal Bottle like this. Over thirty years of repair I have worked on a lot of LaLique Crystal. There were chips around the stopper holes so I polished then out then etched then to match .

Crystal Repair Lalique Horse Head

This large glass sculpture was damaged when an earth quake knocked prisms off of a chandelier onto the sculpture below. This very large, very expensive, LaLique Crystal Horse Head sustained many small chips from each of the falling prisms. Crystal repair on such a heavy piece of glass over such a large area can be tricky, but the sculpture’s appearance, and it’s value were completely restored.

Crystal Repair LaLique Cat Chipped Crystal Ear

Careless cleaning caused a chip on the ear of this LaLique Crystal Cat . Chipped Crystal can be ground and polish to look like new but when its Lalique after you remove the chip matching the etched finish is the challenge .
